About Us
We're building EkamDor, a privacy-first decentralized social platform where users own their data, creators own their audience, and trust is built into the architecture.
Currently in the MVP stage, our goal is to create a social platform that prioritizes privacy, transparency, creator empowerment, and user ownership without relying on surveillance-driven business models.
The Role
We're looking for an API Test Engineer to help ensure the reliability, quality, and performance of the APIs powering our platform.
This role is ideal for freshers who enjoy finding bugs, validating systems, and learning how modern backend platforms work. You'll work closely with founders, API engineers, and mobile developers to test and improve platform quality.
What You'll Work On
• Test REST APIs and backend services
• Create and execute API test cases and test scenarios
• Validate API responses, error handling, and business logic
• Perform functional, integration, and regression testing
• Verify authentication and authorization workflows
• Report bugs and collaborate with developers to resolve issues
• Validate database records and API data consistency
• Contribute to test documentation and quality processes
Tech Stack
• API Testing: Postman, Swagger/OpenAPI
• Backend Understanding: REST APIs, JSON, HTTP Methods
• Database Validation: PostgreSQL, MongoDB
• Tools: Git, GitHub, JIRA
• Automation (Good to Have): Postman Collections, Newman
• Nice to Have: SQL, JavaScript, Python
What We're Looking For
• Fresher or up to 3 year of experience
• Basic understanding of APIs and client-server architecture
• Familiarity with HTTP methods, status codes, and JSON
• Strong attention to detail and curiosity for finding bugs
• Eagerness to learn testing methodologies and automation tools
• Ability to work independently in a startup environment

Interview advice
Going for the QA / Tester role at EkamDor? A few things that help freshers walk in prepared:
- Be ready to write a few test cases on the spot and to explain what you would automate versus what you would test by hand, and why.
- Spend 30 to 60 minutes beforehand on the company's site, recent news and LinkedIn, so you can name one specific reason you want to join when they ask.
- Re-read the job description and prepare two projects or coursework examples that map directly to what it asks for.
- Rehearse "tell me about yourself" out loud in about 60 seconds — education, one standout achievement, why this role — instead of reciting your CV top to bottom.
- Put numbers on your achievements: "8.5/10 GPA", "cut load time by 40%", "led a team of four" lands far better than "good grades" or "hard-working".
