The Opportunity
We’relookingforanincumbentwhoiscompetentenoughtoprovideaccountingandadvisoryservicesincludingsupport for GAAPconversionandimplementation; IPOandotherpublicofferingassistance, transactionaccountingandfinancialreportingassistance(purchasepriceallocation, divestitureaccounting).
Your Key Responsibilities
• Manageservicedelivery

• Executethefollowing FAASsolutionsusingglobalservicedeliveryframework:
• Accountingsupportfortransactionssuchaspurchasepriceaccounting, divestiture/carve-outaccounting, IPOs, SPACsand/or Freshstart(Bankruptcy)accounting

• Preparationoffinancialstatements/MD&A

• GAAPconversion

• Accountingpolicyandgovernance

• Accountingprocesses

• Ensurequalityindeliveringclientservicebydirectingdailyprogressoffieldwork, informingsupervisorsofengagementstatus

• Followthroughonclientrequestsinatimelyfashion, andmanageexpectationsregardingthetimingofdeliverablesandreports

• Identifyengagementandclientserviceissues. Researchandbenchmarkclientdatatoindustrydata.

• Explaintheclient'scriticalsuccessfactorstotheengagementteam.

• Benchmarkclientdatatoindustrydatainordertomakepossiblerecommendationsforimprovements

• Applyindependentandobjectiveprofessionaljudgmentinapplyingaccountingstandardstomeetengagementexpectations, includingregulatoryrequirements.

• Demonstrateagoodunderstandingofaccountingconcepts; stayinformedofprofessionalstandardsandfirmpolicies(e.g., guidelinesof the EYGDSFAASPolicy Manual); andeffectivelyapplythisknowledgetomoderatelydifficultand/orcomplexclientsituations

• Receivedirectionfrom the Manager, Seni or Managers.

Skillsandattributesforsuccess
• Goodunderstanding of IFRS/US/UKGAAP.

• Goodunderstanding of Indianaccountingandauditingstandards.

• Strongwrittenandverbalcommunication, presentation, andtechnicalwritingskills

• Abilityandcomfortlevelinresearchingclientinquiresandemergingissues, includingregulations, industrypracticesandnewtechnologies

• Flexibilityandwillingnesstotravelonshortnotice, asnecessary

• Workingexperienceinrelationtothefollowingservices/solutions(atleastthree):
• Transactionaccountingandreporting–IPO’s, SPACs, Carve Outs, PPAetc

• GAAPconversionsandimplementationofnewaccountingstandards

• Draftinganddesigningaccountingpolicies

• Technicalaccountingresearchandadvice

• Consolidationsupport

• Financialstatementcloseprocesssupport

• Remediationandreadiness

Ideally, you’llalso
• Haveexperienceofworkingwithinternationalclients(preferred)

• Haveatrackrecordwithaleadingconsultingfirm

Whatwelookfor
• Chartered Accountant(CA), CPA(US)or ACCA(UK)

• 2-5 years(postqualification)in Assuranceincludingatleast 1 year of Financial Accounting and Advisoryexperience

• Candidateswithpri or Big 4 experiencewouldbeanaddedadvantage

• Exposuretodataanalyticsandvisualizationandrelatedtoolswouldbeanaddedadvantage
