Full Stack Developer Intern – Data & Applications

Location: Mumbai
Duration: 6 to 8 months, extendable and with the possibility to convert into a permanent role based on performance

About the role
Allianz Jio Reinsurance is building its technology function from the ground up. We are looking for a versatile intern who enjoys being a generalist and wants to learn fast in a lean, greenfield environment. Rather than working on one narrow task, you will sit close to the business, understand what they need, and help turn it into working software. You will get hands on exposure to our Azure environment right from the start, as we build our data lake and deliver our first reports.

What you will do
Work alongside business stakeholders to understand their needs and help translate them into simple, working applications.
Support the design and build of full stack solutions on our Azure environment, from data ingestion through to reporting.
Help stand up our data lake and contribute to our first set of management reports.
Use modern AI assisted development tools to build and iterate quickly, while learning to check quality, security and maintainability.
Prototype, test and improve based on feedback.
Keep lightweight documentation so your work can be picked up by others.

What we are looking for
A generalist mindset and genuine curiosity. We care more about your willingness to solve problems end to end than about mastery of any single programming language.
Basic coding ability across the stack, for example some exposure to Python, JavaScript, SQL and web technologies.
Interest in cloud and data, ideally some familiarity with Azure or a strong wish to learn it.
Openness to AI assisted coding tools, combined with the discipline to understand what you are building rather than just accepting whatever the tool produces.
The ability and confidence to talk to business people, not only to developers.
Pursuing or recently completed a degree in Computer Science, IT, Software Engineering or a related field.

Nice to have
Any exposure to data engineering, BI or reporting tools such as Power BI.
Interest in insurance or financial services.
