Graphic Designer
I'll be honest.
When I started Roots Media, I thought good strategy was enough.
It's not.
The best ideas in the world fall flat when the design doesn't carry them. I've watched incredible brand concepts get ignored because visually, they had nothing to say.
That's the gap I'm filling.
We're hiring a Graphic Designer at Roots Media Marketing.
Not a canva-template-download-and-swap person. A real one.
Someone who sees a brand brief and immediately starts thinking in type and colour. Someone whose portfolio stops you mid-scroll. Someone who knows that the difference between a good post and a forgettable one is rarely the caption — it's the visual.
Here's what we're looking for:
→ 1–3 years of design experience (agency or multi-client preferred)
→ Strong in Figma, Illustrator, or Photoshop — not just Canva
→ Has designed for brands, not just personal projects
→ Can move fast, take feedback, and still make something worth looking at
→ A portfolio that makes us go "okay, we need to call this person"
What you get:
→ ₹20,000 – ₹25,000/month based on experience
→ Bengaluru-based | WFH flexibility
→ Work on real brands. Real budgets. Real creative direction.
To apply — send 3 pieces from your portfolio.
For each one, answer this in one line: what was the brief, and what decision made it better.

Interview advice
Going for the Design role at Roots Media Marketing? A few things that help freshers walk in prepared:
- Your portfolio is the interview: be ready to walk through one project as a story — the problem, the choices you made, and the outcome, not just the visuals.
- Send a short thank-you message within a day that refers to something specific you discussed — most freshers skip this, and it is remembered.
- Spend 30 to 60 minutes beforehand on the company's site, recent news and LinkedIn, so you can name one specific reason you want to join when they ask.
- Re-read the job description and prepare two projects or coursework examples that map directly to what it asks for.
- Rehearse "tell me about yourself" out loud in about 60 seconds — education, one standout achievement, why this role — instead of reciting your CV top to bottom.
