This role supports the vertical's research agenda in various technology-policy areas such as the intersection of technology and geopolitics, international technology partnerships, AI diffusion, digital transformation, biotechnology, quantum technologies, digital public infrastructure, biotechnology and data governance amongst other critical and emerging technology topics.The Research Assistant will support the vertical's research agenda, working closely with senior researchers on background research, literature review, data collection, and the development of policy-relevant outputs. This is an entry-level position, well suited for candidates at the start of their career in technology policy research.Key ResponsibilitiesConduct background research, literature reviews, and data collection to support ongoing research projects and publications on technology-policy themes such as AI governance, digital public infrastructure, data governance, and the geopolitics of emerging technology.Assist the team in drafting research publications.Track and synthesise key developments in technology policy across India, the US, Europe, and the Global South, and prepare summary notes for the team.Maintain and update databases of literature, datasets, and policy developments relevant to the vertical's research agenda.Support in the organisation of events such as providing research and background-note support for roundtables, workshops, and conferences.Assist with coordinating inputs and timelines for joint research projects with internal and external collaborators.Undertake other research and writing tasks as assigned by the team.QualificationsPostgraduate degree in public policy, technology policy, engineering, international relations, business administration, economics, or a related discipline.0-1 years of professional experience; research internships, academic research, or published writing in technology policy or related fields will be viewed favourably.Demonstrated interest in technology-policy issues.Strong research, analytical, and writing skills, with the ability to synthesise complex information clearly.Excellent written and oral communication skills in English.Proficiency in tools like Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, GSuite and Outlook.Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.Terms And Application ProcessThis is a full-time, entry-level position based in New Delhi, with remuneration commensurate with experience.To apply, please submit your CV, a cover letter (max 1 page, addressing fit for the role), and one relevant writing sample (800-1200 words) to [contact shared on WhatsApp] Application FormName*Email ID*CV UploadWriting SampleResearch ProposalCover LetterFrom (Date of Availability)To (Date of Availability) <button class="show-more-less-html__button
