Job Title: Security Operations Center (SOC) Intern
Location: On-site (Bengaluru)

Role Summary: The SOC Intern will assist the Security Operations Center team in monitoring, identifying, and responding to security events and threats. You’ll gain hands-on experience with cybersecurity tools, incident analysis, and security alert triage under the guidance of experienced SOC analysts.

Key Responsibilities
• Monitor security alerts and events generated by SIEM (Security Information and Event Management) systems and other security tools.
• Perform initial triage and analysis of alerts to distinguish false positives from real threats.
• Assist in incident documentation, including creating and updating incident tickets with timelines and mitigation steps.
• Support log analysis from sources such as operating systems, network devices, and applications.
• Help tune security rules and participate in improving detection processes.
• Contribute to daily or weekly reporting on security events and trends.
• Learn and follow SOC procedures, playbooks, and standard operating practices. Required Skills & Qualifications
• Recently completed a degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Basic understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, routing) and operating systems (Windows/Linux).
• Familiarity or eagerness to learn SIEM tools, log analysis, and incident investigation.
• Strong analytical thinking, attention to detail, and communication skills. Ability to work collaboratively under supervision in a fast-paced environment.
