Hey everyone, just a quick heads-up that my team at AMD is expanding! We are looking for multiple long-term contractors for software development profile, with a strong preference for freshers.
Minimum Criteria:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science, or related fields.
Technical Requirements:
Familiarity with Git and version control basics.
Strong foundational knowledge in at least one core area: AI, Java, Server Infrastructure, or Scripting.
Good problem-solving skills and eagerness to learn.
Location: Hyderabad, India

Interview advice
Going for the Software Engineer role at AMD? A few things that help freshers walk in prepared:
- Revise core data structures and be ready to explain the logic in your best project line by line — interviewers care more about how you reason than which language you used.
- Arrive 10 to 15 minutes early (not an hour), and carry a printed CV, a valid ID and any certificates.
- Practise once out loud with a friend or a mock interview — the more you rehearse, the calmer and clearer you will be on the day.
- Send a short thank-you message within a day that refers to something specific you discussed — most freshers skip this, and it is remembered.
- Spend 30 to 60 minutes beforehand on the company's site, recent news and LinkedIn, so you can name one specific reason you want to join when they ask.
