Software Engineer II

Google·India·Posted 13 Jul·via LinkedIn

Google is hiring freshers and I found this compensation structure post on Linkedin.

At L3 entry level, a Google engineer in India earns ₹13.5L/yr in RSUs.
At L5, it's ₹45L. At L6, ₹84L.

That's a meaningful slice of their wealth sitting in US stock.

Often I ask these young engineers two questions.

First: "What do you do with your RSUs?"
Answer is almost always: "Holding. Long-term."

Second: "How do you file taxes on it?"
Answer: silence. Or "Schedule FA? What's that?"

We're solving for this lack of awareness at Rovia

Schedule FA is a mandatory ITR schedule for Indian residents with foreign assets — including RSUs you've never sold. Most salaried employees don't know it exists. Their CAs often don't either.

ITR deadline is July 31.

We built a FREE Schedule FA generator — upload your E*TRADE or Morgan Stanley statement, and it generates your FA schedule, lot by lot.

DM me for the link or check out Rovia website.

If this resonates, share it with someone at a US tech company in India. The gap between knowing you hold RSUs and knowing how to stay compliant is wider than it should be.
