technical recruitment intern
I’m hiring six technical recruitment interns at byteXL, and I want to be direct about what the job is.
Over the next two years we need roughly three times as many educators as we have today. The people we hire as educators have to be able to write real code and hold the attention of sixty engineering students. Both things. There is no job board where those people are sitting and waiting. Finding them is detective work, and that is what you would be doing.
Not formatting CVs. Not booking calls for somebody else. Actually working out where a good Python trainer in Salem is right now, what would make her pick up the phone, and how to get her to say yes.
I’ll tell you why I think this is a good place to learn. Most recruiters spend three years getting the number of conversations you will get here in six months. We hire at volume, in six states, for a profile nobody in this market has cracked yet. You will get things wrong quickly and learn quickly, which is the only way anyone ever gets good at this.
Who I’m looking for: people in their final year or recently graduated, from any background. If you studied computer science that is a real advantage, because you will be assessing people who teach code and it helps to know what you are listening for. If you come from MBA HR, you are just as welcome. What matters more is whether you are comfortable calling a stranger, organised enough to keep fifty conversations straight, and stubborn. Telugu,Tamil, Hindi alongside English will help you a lot, because that is where much of this hiring happens.
In three months we sit down and decide. If you have graduated, that is a full-time offer. If you finish in 2027, it is a pre-placement offer and you join us after. You will know from day one exactly what we are measuring, so nothing about that conversation should surprise you. And I want to be clear that this is a bar to clear, not a competition with the person sitting next to you. We are growing fast. I would be happy to keep all six of you.
Six months, Hyderabad, paid internship, full time.
To apply, email [contact shared on WhatsApp] with your resume and one more thing. Find me three people who could teach Python Full Stack to engineering students in one of the following cities of your choice: Mathura/Jalandhar/Coimbatore/Guntur. Send their profiles and two lines on how you found each one. No cover letter. Just show me you can hunt.

Interview advice
Going for this role at byteXL? A few things that help freshers walk in prepared:
- Before you go in, list the top three things this job asks for and prepare one concrete example for each — then tie every answer back to them.
- Re-read the job description and prepare two projects or coursework examples that map directly to what it asks for.
- Rehearse "tell me about yourself" out loud in about 60 seconds — education, one standout achievement, why this role — instead of reciting your CV top to bottom.
- Put numbers on your achievements: "8.5/10 GPA", "cut load time by 40%", "led a team of four" lands far better than "good grades" or "hard-working".
- For a virtual interview, test your internet, camera and mic in advance, sit somewhere quiet and well-lit, and still dress formally — it signals you are serious.
